CDSBEO Supports the 17th Annual Akwesasne Powwow

The 17th annual Akwesasne Powwow was held on September 8th and 9th  at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena on Cornwall Island, Ontario.  CDSBEO sponsored the powwow and provided Cornwall area schools with 200 tickets for admission to the event.  CDSBEO visitors were encouraged to take a selfie of themselves at the powwow and submit it to the Curriculum Department in order to be eligible for a draw for a $50 gift card for Chapters Indigo.  Soumela Craig, pictured below, was the lucky winner again this year!
